Migración
Migración temporal y permanente es una característica de la globalización a nivel mundial. Son sobre todo las ciudades globales donde viven muchas migrantes. Independientemente de los derechos existentes, las restricciones de la mobilidad, del sufragio etc. las migrantes se toman el derecho de vivir y se apropian de la ciudad. Política- , económica- y culturalmente los migrantes desempeñan un papel importante, al cual muchas veces se le hace invisible. Dentro del proyecto queremos discutir el tema de la autonomía de la migración y de la participación política de las migrantes.

La tarea que desarrollan en si misma es todo un logro, reunir a 120 profesionales, para que trabajen, respetando criterios de la „illegalidad“ de sus pacientes, arriesgando, tal vez, su título por una maniobra ilegal y gratis, es maravilloso.

On Friday, March 10, 2006 Chicago’s downtown was paralyzed by an immigrant rights march estimated at more than 100,000 people. The march, organized by a citywide coalition of community, labor and immigrant rights groups, was called to protest the punitive enforcement provisions of the anti-immigrant Sensenbrenner Bill: “Border Protection, Anti-Terrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005” (H.R. 4437).

(kaos) Anfang der 90er Jahre zogen Triqui-Indígenas (Ureinwohner Oaxacas, die sich und ihre Sprache als Triqui bezeichnen) aus verschiedenen Dörfern des südlichen Bundesstaats Oaxaca nach Mexiko-Stadt. Sie suchten einen Ort, wo sie ihre Artesanía-Waren (traditionelles Kunsthandwerk) ohne Zwischenhändler direkt verkaufen, wo ihre Kinder studieren und wo sie autonom und frei von Repressionen leben können.

An immigrant community in Los Angeles demands urban farmland

Since 12th September 2005, the „South Central Farmers’“ case has been heard in the appellate court of Los Angeles. 347 families from Latin America, most of them illegalised, have sued the city because it had sold the former derelict land with its newly planted gardens. The land had been appropriated by the farmers; the gardens are therefore officially “non-existent”. The ‘campesinos’ are now organising an unequalled campaign against the privatisation.
